Jotter.info - private and not-for-profit project. I may change any of the free services of Jotter.info web-system without notice; this right, though, I'm not planning to expoit. Should Jotter become a commercial site and start charging money for additional services, rules on this page would change. However, free services, offered today, remain free, at least for already registered users.

Site administration will disconnect (cancel registration of) users, who violate common code of conduct. What follows is a list of prohibited actions on this friendly server:
- using of offensive words (cursing)
- call to violance, messages with nationalistic or racistic content
- placement of offensive pictures in personal photo album
- posting a lot of meaningless messages onto forums or message boards (flaming)
- abuse of public dictionaries

All services of this web-system have a number of limitations in their free variant. Here they are:
- number of forums <= 5
- number of threads in a forum <= 200 (when the limit is exceeded, the oldest thread is deleted)
- number of postings in a thread <= 100 (when the limit is reached, posting of a new message is disabled)
- journal themes <= 5
- articles number in a journal theme <= 200
- record count in address book <= 200
- property count for each address book record <= 25
- photo album space, excluding thumbnails size <= 1Mb
- total size of stored user files <= 1Mb

Following limitations apply to both free and paid services:
- supported image file types: JPEG, PNG, GIF
- image size in pixels: width <= 1024, height <= 768
- wide text fields size (greetings on a welcome page, article paragraph, message on a forum, announcement) <= 4096 characters
- number of paragraphs in a single journal article <= 50
- only one article per day within each journal theme is allowed

Listed limitations are meant to protect the server. Need more - contact us, will argue that out.
